Pizza "horiatiki" with feta cheese, sausage and fresh tomato
*For 4-6 persons
Materials
FOR THE DOUGH:
1 cup lukewarm water
15 g. dry yeast
½ teaspoon Sugar
500 g. Flour
some salt
some olive oil
FOR PIZZA:
150 g. feta, in pieces
200 g. cheese, grated
2 green peppers, cut into slices
1 sausage, sliced
1 onion, sliced
5-6 black olives, chopped
2 tomatoes, diced (only the peel) a little olive oil
FOR THE SAUCE:
1 onion, finely chopped
200 g. tomatoes, chopped
1 teaspoon tomato paste (diluted in a little water)
salt, oregano, sugar
½ glass water a little olive oil
IMPLEMENTATION
FOR THE SAUCE:
Saute the onion in a saucepan with a little olive oil. Add the water, tomatoes, tomato paste, salt and sugar. Finally, add the oregano and boil for 5 '- 7'.
FOR THE DOUGH:
In a bowl, pour the warm water, yeast, olive oil, sugar and salt and stir the mixture with your hands. Add flour until you get a firm dough. Let the dough rise for 30 - 40 minutes or so in a warm place (cover with a towel). After the dough rises, add the remaining flour and stretch with a rolling pin. Grease a baking pan and lay the dough evenly in it. Spread the sauce over the entire surface of the dough , spread evenly the grated cheese and fill the remaining ingredients. Bake the pizza at 170oC for 30 '- 40'. Before serving, sprinkle the pizza with a little olive oil and add a pinch of oregano.
TIP:
Add the tomato and feta 10 minutes before removing the pizza from the oven, for a more "fresh" look.
